World’s first projector-phone
Wireless Lighting company demonstrated at CES a mobile phone with projector on board.
Wilreless Lighting Company was established several months ago after buying out smaller company that developed this model. After purchasing all the rights to this phone, Wireless Lighting modified it and added a few functions - that is how a phone with projector called Bolt was “born”.
The device has a Chinese production projector from Butterfly Technology. A phone with fully charged battery is able to display the two-hour film material with a size range from 36″ to 64″. In addition to the phone, you can hook any other source such as the Xbox or PlayStation.
Bolt phone has a touch screen display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, 3 megapixels camera, Bluetooth and GPS. The heart of the device is a 100 MHz MTK 6225 chipset.
The manufacturer plans to release only a few thousand copies of the phone, so as to draw attention to its brand. Mass production will start with the creation of an improved generation of the phone with Windows Mobile operating system and a better battery, which now is able to withstand about 2-3 hours of continuous conversation. An improved model is to be presented in a few months at CeBIT.

Wow, this is probably one of the coolest ideas I’ve ever heard. I thought they had thought of it all when it came to phones. I wonder if this could eventually make TV’s obsolete?
I guess Samsung’s phone is the world’s first Pico Projector phone and was shown at CES 2009.
